About Andrew Barovick
An attorney with over two decades of experience, Andrew Barovick earned his bachelor of arts in English literature from Columbia University in 1983. During his graduate studies at the Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University, he participated in the Prosecutor Practicum, an internship through which students gain experience working with assistant district attorneys. Andrew Barovick graduated with his juris doctor and subsequently accepted a position at the Office of the Queens County District Attorney, leveraging his acquired skills to serve as an assistant district attorney. During his 10 years with the office, he managed and tried over 30 felony cases.
Andrew Barovick then served as an associate attorney at private law firms for nearly a decade, focusing on the defense of medical malpractice cases. In 2007, he began working as a plaintiff’s attorney with Steven E. North, P.C., before founding his self-titled practice, where he prosecuted medical malpractice cases. Currently, he serves as a partner at Alegria & Barovick, LLP, litigating cases in personal injury, property damage, and social security disability benefits, among other practice areas.
Outside of work, Mr. Barovick has continued his dedication to public service through several charitable initiatives. He has served with iVolunteerNY, providing companionship to a Holocaust survivor, and he visits the Sarah Neuman Home during Jewish holidays to escort residents to religious services. In his free time, he participates in kayaking, biking, golfing, and swimming. He also enjoys cooking, reading, traveling, and listening to music.
